A website, People Touching Artworks, has recently been launched to document museum and gallery visitors behaving badly – touching, leaning against, poking, feeling and measuring artworks! It’s a fascinating insight into the things people do when in the presence of art – violating that fundamental tenet of “don’t touch the art”.
